| hey everybody
tomorrow night, ellington will be performing
for the 91.1 WRVU benefit show at The End in Nashville. the doors
open at 9 and ellington will play at 9:30 followed by Velcro Stars,
Death Comes to Matteson, and Kyle Andrews. the cover is only $5,
so come support local independent radio, and great local music!

| Circus tomorrow night! Dan McGuinness', 9pm, no cover, 21 and up. there are a ton of bands playing, so everybody be there!

| 11/8 now has a more official title than "Sweet Lemonade." it will
now be called "Don't Panic." but don't tell the band, because i
haven't told them yet.

| thanks to all of you who came to Dan McGuinness' on thursday. the show was great, and the place was packed.
as a result of that show, we potentially landed three more. the
first is this coming monday at The Mercy Lounge. apparently The
Mercy Lounge, with the help of our friends, Westover, have started an
event much like the old 12 at 12 event at 12th and Porter. the
difference being, this is called 8 at 8. so, we're guessing there
will be 8 bands/artists, and it will start around 8pm. we also
have been told that there probably is no cover, since that's how 12@12
ran things. so, if you're free monday and want to catch a whole
bunch of great bands, come on out!
the next is thursday, May 26th. we will be back at Dan
McGuinness' for the third installment of The Circus. there will
be a number of bands each playing four songs, and it too will be a free
event. so far, we know of Ellington, Westover, and Stack Magic
for sure. we'll let you know as we find out the rest of the bands.
the third is less concrete, and further in the future, so we'll post more about it later if it comes to fruition.
